When Doogee announced that it was creating 3 different version of the Doogee Y6, the Y6, Y6 Piano Black and Y6 Max it got me excited. But after looking deeper at the specifications of the Y6 Piano Black it got me thinking.
Is it worth the £30 upgrade over the original Doogee Y6?
In terms of design, the two phones are identical and it’s only when we look at the internals that we see the difference. So, I’ve put together a comparison table so you can see whether the upgrades are important to you and whether it’s worth the upgrade.

Doogee Y6 Piano Black Vs Y6 Performance
You can see from the tests below that the upgraded onboard storage and extra RAM makes little difference on the AnTuTu benchmark tests. What is interesting is that the Geekbench score is a lot higher on the Piano Black version.
This suggests that you may see day-to-day performance benefits from having the extra RAM and faster storage.
