Dyson Products with In-built Air Purifiers
Unlike the extremely complicated & confusing Dyson Air Purifier website, we can make things a bit simpler…
These are all the latest Dyson products that feature inbuilt air purifying & that are compatible with the latest HEPA13 Glass Fibre filters.
- Dyson Hot+Cold Air Purifier with (Formaldehyde Catalyst*) (HP09)
- Dyson Hot+Cold (AutoReact) Air Purifier (HP07)
- Dyson Purifier Cool with (Formaldehyde Catalyst*) (TP09)
- Dyson Purifier Cool (TP07)
- Dyson Humidifier + Cool Air Purifier with (Formaldehyde Catalyst*) (PH04)
- Dyson Humidifier + Cool Air Purifier (PH03)
Editors Note: The Formaldehyde removal catalyst is built into the machine, not the filter. If you need this functionality, opt for one of the models below with Formaldehyde at the end of the name.
Buyers Tip: Avoid buying older models (unless you find a really good deal!): aka anything that begins with Dyson Pure. These come with 2016/2017 outdated designs (louder fans) and are not compatible with the latest filters.
Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Formaldehyde (HP09)
RRP: £699.99
The latest iteration of Dyson’s Hot+Cool range is the Formaldehyde model. Almost identical to the Hot+Cool (non-formaldehyde) purifier below, but with an added Catalytic filter that self-regenerates so as to never need replacing. See our FAQs at the end for common sources of Formaldehyde in your home.
This new catalytic filter converts formaldehyde into water & CO2… pretty cool!
Okay, we’d be amiss if we didn’t talk about the Dyson Hot+Cool’s awesome design. It’s got the classic bladeless fan oval design that Dyson is famous for, coupled with a clean white & copper colourway.
It’s certainly a step above most of the air purifier competition in this regard, making it not just a piece of practical furniture… but a designer piece that you don’t have to hide-in-the-corner.
Heating
Built inside the unit is a heating element that can either send hot air directly at you or heat your room evenly. Since the unit comes with tilt and 350 degrees rotation it does a great job with both of these.
Although if you’re spending this type of cash on an Air Purifier / Heater, I don’t think you’ll be trying to save money on the heating bill. Even so, it’s a nice touch, with the improved heating efficiency compared to gas being much better for the environment.
Cooling
There’s nothing special about the cooling of this Dyson fan, the bladeless design in unique, but it’s still just blowing air at you. It’s fairly quiet on the highest fan setting and comes with a diffused mode if you just want to use the air purifying without a cold breeze blowing your way.
Purifying
The unit comes with a decent amount of airflow making it suitable for purifying the air in most medium-to-large size rooms in the UK up to around 80m3. This is thanks to Dyson’s unique bladeless fan design which circulates air more effectively.
Using a HEPA13 filter means you’ll be removing 99% of polluting particles as well as allergens and other nasties.
Final Thoughts…
It’s the best-looking, most premium little gadget you can get for both heating and cleaning the air at the same time. The ‘formaldehyde removal’ is also a great addition with recent studies like this from WHO showing nearly a 5th of U.K. homes affected by Formaldehyde.
If you don’t need the heating aspect, then you can save some money with the Dyson Purifier Cool version below.

Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool (AutoReact) HP07
RRP: 599.99
The Dyson Purifier Hot Cold Autoreact Air Purifier offers all the same functions (Hot, Cold, Air Purification via the HEPA13 Filter) as the HP09 but drops the Formaldehyde removal functionality.
If your heart was set on the warm copper design of the HP09, you’ll be disappointed to find that it isn’t available on this model. Instead, it opts for a classic Silver & White colourway.
With a £100 price difference, you might be wondering whether it’s worth saving a few quid and opting for the HP07 instead. To learn more about the Formaldehyde features of the Dyson, check out our FAQs at the end.

Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde (TP09)
RRP: £549.99
This is where things get interesting!
With the Hot+Cold range, there’s really not much competition for Dyson in this space. They offer the best, albeit expensive, all-in-one solution on the market.
The Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde gets the warm copper colourway that we love here at Review Hub, but… Drops the heating functionality altogether. It still keeps the HEPA13 air purifying functionality that you want as well as the remote, LCD display and Smart functionality.
You’d think with the bladeless fan oval being nearly twice the size of the Hot+Cool models above, you’d be getting more airflow. And you are… even though it’s moving the exact same 290/l a second, thanks to the larger oval design and aerodynamics, the fan effect is around 30% stronger than we the Hot+Cool models.
Overall, it’s another great air purifier option for anyone that wants the Dyson premium design as well as formaldehyde removal.

Dyson Purifier Cool (TP07)
RRP: £449.99
Almost identical in size & weight with identical features to the (Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde) but without the Formaldehyde removal.
Now it’s getting interesting as there are no unique features that set this air purifier apart from the Competition. It comes down to a design & quality choice!
Do you really want to pay £449.99 for the privilege of owning a Dyson? My biggest gripe with the Dyson Purifier Cool is the warranty. Without the heating elements of the Hot+Cool above, 2 years on a £450 fan seems a little stingy for a company that prides itself on engineering and innovation.
Do you think the Dyson Purifier Cool is worth its hefty price tag? Let us know in the comments.

Dyson Purifier Humidifier+Cool Formaldehyde (PH04)
RRP: £699.99
Even though the idea of adding more moisture to your already damp U.K. house might sound like the worst idea since wet look leggings… in some parts of the world, humidifying your home works well.
I won’t blame you if you’re from the U.K. and you skip the 2 Dyson Air Purifiers / Humidifiers completely. Maybe in a few year’s they’ll release the Dyson De-Humudifier that we mouldy Brits can get excited about!
For everybody else… ooof… look at that price tag!
Let’s see what makes this beautiful little Dyson Product… maybe… just maybe… worth that mouthwatering amount of money.
HEPA13 Air Purifying
It uses the same filtration closed HEPA13 filtration system as all the other Air Purifiers in this list removing Pollutants, Allergens and bacteria from the air.
Formaldehyde Removal
It also features the Formaldehyde Catalytic maintenance-free converter to destroy this harmful gas in your home.
Humidifying & UV Light Bacteria Killing
Inside this little unit is a UV Light that destroys any bacteria or living cells inside the water before it then gets released into your home. I’m not sure who’s putting non-drinkable well water into Dyson… but if you did… you’d be fine!
Fan Only Mode
The Dyson air purifier also works in standalone fan mode to cool you down and circulate the air even when your room has reached the desired humidity level. It will automatically turn off releasing water vapour at a controlled % which you can set via the app.
Self Cleaning Mode
Another unique feature is that Dyson has built in a self-cleaning mode which removes mineral build from the humidifier part of the product. If you live in a hard-water area, it’s recommended to do this monthly.
Overall
It’s another great solution for those that need a humidifier that also works as an air purifier. The design is small and sleek and follows Dyson’s latest product design themes.
You could save a lot of money by buying an air purifier and humidifier separate… but it certainly wouldn’t look as cool or spread the humid air around your room as effectively.

Dyson Air Filters Explained
Even though the size of the Air Purifying units above vary in size, it’s good news as there’s only one filter that fits all the models above. So no need to worry about buying the wrong size.
At £65 for a replacement filter, it’s not the cheapest among the competition. That would go to Xiaomi.
But… with a years lifespan, you won’t have be replacing them very often. As always, it depends on the level of pollution in your home, so you might get less or longer than this recommended amount.
360° Combi Glass HEPA+Carbon Air Purifier Filter
Filter: HEPA H13 Standard + Carbon Filter (2 Piece Design)
This is the latest sealed HEPA13 model that Dyson has produced and fitted for all of the Air Purifier products above.
It’ll be great to see if Dyson moves to a HEPA14 solution in the future.
Compatible Models: PH04, PH03, PH3A, PH02, PH01, HP09, TP09, HP07, TP07, HP06, TP06, HP04, HP4A, TP04 , TP4A , DP04, TP7A.
