The UMiDigi Crystal Pro is a bezel-less beauty that’s guaranteed to turn heads…

So the glittering jewel in UMiDigi’s bezel-less trophy cabinet, is the Crystal Pro…but does it stand up to the hype?

Just looking at the premium glass sandwich design, the SHARP made bezel-less display and that price-tag… I think we’re definitely onto a winner.

If you’re wondering whether to go for the Pro, price-wise its a no-brainer. There’s only around £30 difference between the models and you’re getting 4 times the storage, updated CPU (MT6737T vs MT6750T) & GPU (ARM Mali T720 vs ARM Mali T860) and twice the amount of RAM ( 2GB vs 4GB).

Design & Display

The first thing you’ll notice when you look at the UMIDigi Crystal is that beautiful edge-to-edge screen! They’ve really maximised the screen-to-body-ratio with only a small area beneath the screen for the selfie camera and breathing notification LED.

Once you pick up the phone, the unibody glass sandwich design feels premium and isn’t too heavy at 180 grams. There’s also Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for added protection while still keeping the thickness down to 8.1mm. The light and proximity sensors are now top-facing to keep the top bezel super slim.

The 5.5-inch SHARP display offers crisp vibrant colours with excellent viewing angles. With a resolution of 1920 x 1080 text is super crisp with no jagged edges to be seen anywhere.

Performance

In terms of performance, you’ll want to go for the UMiDigi Crystal Pro version vs the original model as this features the MediaTek 6750T (vs the older MT6737T). Whilst it’s not part of the newest Helio range it is power efficient making it ideal for light Android users while also being backed up by 4GB’s of RAM.

The MT6750T is coupled with the ARM Mali T860 which will run 2D games smoothly without stutter and is a better choice than the commonly used Mali T720.

With 2 Nano SIM card slots you have the option to add in an extra SIM which can be handy whilst travelling. If you don’t need both SIM card slots you have the option to boost the storage to 256GBs with a Micro SD card.
